Welcome to the American Accounting Association Government and Nonprofit Section (GNP) home page.

The objectives of the GNP section are:

  • To foster basic and applied research in financial and managerial accounting, as well as auditing, for government and nonprofit organization; and
  • To improve the quality of accounting, financial reporting and auditing in these organizations through advances in teaching, research and service.

The section maintains this website to aid in the achievement of the Section's objectives.
