Tracey E. Sutherland Appointed as
AAA Executive Director

Tracey E. Sutherland The Executive Committee of the American Accounting Association is pleased to announce that effective immediately Tracey E. Sutherland will become the Association's Executive Director. We have been thoroughly impressed with Tracey's performance as Interim Executive Director during the past nine months and our assessment is widely shared throughout the AAA. Tracey is highly regarded by the Sarasota staff, regional and sectional officers, association-wide committee chairs, and leaders at affiliate organizations. She is a consensus builder extraordinaire who has a broad understanding of AAA activities, having worked extensively on a wide array of AAA publications, meetings, and other projects since joining the AAA as Director of Faculty Development in 1997.

Tracey's scholarly interests are in the areas of teaching and learning and organizational development in higher education and publications. She had several years of experience in higher education before coming to the AAA. After earning her baccalaureate degree from Stetson University, Tracey taught and worked in administration at Auburn University, Saint Louis University and Florida State University where she earned her Ph.D. in higher education. Prior to joining the AAA, Tracey was the founding Director of Faculty Development for the faculty development initiative at Truman State University.

Please join me in congratulating Tracey on her well deserved promotion.
